The 2nd Sino-Russia Workshop

On Bioinformatics and Computational Biology

 07 November, 2020 Wuhan, China

The 2nd Sino-Russia Workshop on Bioinformatics and Computational Biology will be held on November 7, 2020 at Huazhong Agricultural University in Wuhan, China. In consideration of the epidemic, this workshop will be held online. Computational biology and bioinformatics are a rapidly developing field of biology based on structural and functional tissue analysis of biological systems, applications in medicine and biotechnology. Bioinformatics as a science field is oriented on joining and unification of databases and informational resources in biology, standardization of omics technology data. The goal of this workshop is to provide a good opportunity for Chinese and Russia researchers to share their important findings in bioinformatics and computational biology, and to establish new cooperative relations in these fields. It will also contribute to the search for mutually beneficial forms of international cooperation for the development of education.

The workshop will provide relevant reports and in-depth discussions on key genomic technologies such as "genome, protein, post genome technologies and single-cell technologies". In addition, it will provide a focus for Chinese and Russia computational biology and bioinformatics experts. The workshop provides a good platform for academic exchanges and cooperation and joint training between China and Russia, and hopes to provide a good platform and foundation for further international cooperation between Chinese and Russia scientists.

The workshop include following topics:

  • Computational genomics and post-genome technologies;
  • Bioinformatics and data analysis in biology;
  • Bioinformatics and educational programs in the university of China and Russia.

We invite presentation of the latest results focusing on all the above aspects. As a result of the workshop, the full paper will be published in a series of international bioinformatics journals, including «Journal of Integrative Bioinformatics» and «Journal of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology».
